SAFESIDE ASSOCIATION 2025 REUNION

Valdosta, Georgia – April 14 - 18, 2025 Moody Air Force Base, Home of the 820 BDG

The 2025 SAFESIDE Association reunion will be held at the Holiday Inn Valdosta Conference Center (to be known as the “Base Camp” from now on), located at 1805 West Hill Ave, Valdosta, GA 31605 and at Moody AFB, Valdosta, GA. The contract room rate is $109.00 per night plus tax. The room rate does not include a free breakfast; however, a private breakfast is available daily. You must book early to ensure that rooms are available. DON’T WAIT!

HOTEL RESERVATIONS:

Our hotel has been inspected by President Emeritus, Jerry Nelson. The inspection was highly detailed, including contract space verifications and a stay in the hotel. His report was OUTSTANDING!

(299) 244-1111: Tell the reservation desk you are part of the SAFESIDE Association Reunion to book the group rate. 

You must identify yourself as a member of the SAFESIDE Association. All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card. The deadline for reservations is March 14, 2025. After that date, rooms will be space available only and AT THE HOTEL’S PREVAILING RATE. Make your reservations early! Check-in time is 3:00 PM; check-out time is 11:00 AM. If you encounter any difficulty with hotel reservations or reserving the room, obtain the confirmation number and contact Jerry Nelson at (210) 273-4777. Explain the problem and he will assist in correcting the problem.

AIRPORT INFORMATION FLYING:

Book your flight to VALDOSTA REGIONAL AIRPORT (AIRPORT CODE: VLD).

The hotel does not have an airport shuttle.

Monday, 14 Apr 25: (Optional Arrival Date if you are attending the optional Meet & Greet with 820 BDG Troops at the Moody Field Club)

 Arrival SAFESIDE Base Camp (Holiday Inn).  Check-in starting at 1500 hrs

• 1700-2000 hrs - Optional Moody Club Meet & Greet with 820^th Troops (provide 

              you own transportation & pay as you go), Moody Field Club, Moody AFB

Tuesday, 15 Apr 25: (Arrival Date if you are not attending the optional Meet & Greet)

            Arrival SAFESIDE Base Camp (Holiday Inn).  Check-in starting at 1500 hrs

• 1700 hrs - Cocktails/1800 hrs SAFESIDE Welcome Dinner, Base Camp

Wednesday, 16 Apr 25:

• 0815 hrs - SAFESIDE Board of Directors depart Base Camp for 820 BDG HQ, Moody AFB, Provide your own transportation

• 0900 hrs - Board of Directors Meeting, 820 BDG HQ

• 1100 hrs - SAFESIDE & 820^th Spouses/Significant Other Luncheon (pay as you go), Base Camp, room location TBD

• 1300 hrs - General Membership Meeting – Base Camp, room location TBD

• 1500 hrs - Veterans Service Officer Briefing – Base Camp, room location TBD

Thursday, 17 Apr 25:

• 0815 hrs - Depart Base Camp for 820 BDG, load buses for Moody AFB

• 0930 hrs - Demos, BBQ & Awards, 820 BDG HQ (Specific time for Demos, BBQ & Awards TBD)

• 1500 hrs - Buses depart 820 BDG for Base Camp

Friday, 18Apr 25:

• Depart SAFESIDE Base Camp. Check-out time NLT 1100 hrs
