The purpose of Safeside Association's Bulletin
Board System (BBS) is to provide a forum for members of the Association and
their families and friends to discuss concerns and issues related to the war
years. These discussions are hopefully educational, thought provoking, and
civil in content.
There are very few rules and guidelines for submitting messages or responses
on the BBS. However, this is a family friendly BBS and the normal rules for
good manners and behavior apply.
If you post a message on the Association’s BBS you agree to
comply with the following guidelines:
1. Absolutely no foul language permitted when posting. Posts found containing
foul language will be deleted.
2. Any derogatory remarks concerning other members or visitors will be
deleted. If you have comments or suggestions regarding the Safeside Association, better results are usually obtained
by sending an e-mail directly to the Board of Directors Member assigned to
represent you. A list of Board Members is on the Home Page, under the
<Admin> link.
3. Safeside Association's BBS is Family Friendly,
please help us keep it that way.
4. Persons who repeatedly violate the guidelines will receive a
“warning” that their access to the Bulletin Board may be
suspended if they do not adhere to the rules. The length of the suspension
will be determined by a panel comprised of at least three members from the
Board of Directors.
5. Remember, the purpose of this Bulletin Board to discuss issues and
concerns related to our service in Safeside. It is
not a place to conduct political discussions or promote personal agendas.
There are other Bulletin Boards, Forums and BLOGs
for those purposes. If you are unsure whether your post meets the spirit and
intent of the rules, you can e-mail it to the Administrator for review.
6. The Safeside Association reserves the right to
add to or modify these rules when deemed necessary.
7. All Bulletin Board users must first register. You will be asked to
select a User Name and Password. Your User name MUST be your real first and
last name. Shortened versions, e.g., “Bill” for
“William,” or “Bob” for “Robert,” etc.,
are allowed.
